Default Calendar by Month - how to default to current date when opening?

When I view my calendar by month it is defaulting to Dec 28 when today is
January 25 - if I view by week or day it is fine. It is just by month that it
won't start at the current date.

Outlook will show you the current month with the week containing the first day
of that month at the top of the view. December 27 is the week that contains
January 1, so the week of December 27 will be at the top. You should see
January 1 and 2 in that top row.
