Every day since Christmas I have been reminded about the Christmas holiday.
The calendar reminder pops up, I dismiss it, then it comes back the next day. The holiday does not appear on any calendar that I can find in Outlook. If I click on the Open Item button in the reminder dialog, nothing happens. I can't get rid of this item, and I can't find where it is coming from... |

Thanks Bob.
I tried that and it doesn't help. It restarts Outlook, and when Outlook comes up I get the ghost reminder. It still won't open the item. I tried it twice. I figured if I tried it a third time it might indicate that I am insane. ![]() Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. close outlook and verify it is closed in tasks manger, processes tab. The
switch won't work if outlook isn't closed. Also, try disabling reminder, restart outlook then enable them. This will wipe out all overdue reminders and should include the ghost. http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2004/20041130.htm -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Thanks Diane. I tried the previous suggestion again, first making sure that
the Outlook process was gone. That did not work. I tried your suggestion, turning off reminders, and that did not work. I did make sure that the Outlook process was gone after closing Outlook, before reopening it. The ghost of Christmas past haunts me still...
