MS Outlook should recognize dates in email messages so that they can be
clicked on and the calendar scheduler window will pop up prefilled with that
date. If I recieve an email invitation for, say, lunch at 12:30 on Thursday,
the calendar will open upon clicking the date and the upcoming Thursday at
12:30 filled in; the cursor should be in position to type the description of
the lunch/meeting. If the date is not within the upcoming week, most people
will naturally specify the date as, for example, Thursday the 14th. The
month will probably be provided but not needed for Office to pick an upcoming
Thursday that is the 14th. Even the word "next" (Thursday) can indicate to
Office that the Thursday to be filled in is in the following week.
This should be accurate a high percentage of the time.
