Default change shared calendar background color

How do I customize the background color so it will be different from the
calendar colors of the people who it will be shared with?

Any attempt to change the color just changes my own personal one, not the
one which will be for other employees

You can't change what the other employees see.

But can I change the way I see the secondary calendar? On my screen it is the
same color as another individual's.

I don't think so (or, at least, I can't find a way). What you can do,
however, is change the background of your calendar so that it differs from
the second calendar. Click ToolsOptionsCalendar Options and select a
different background color. Make sure "Use selected background color on all
calendars" is unchecked.
