Default "Two occurances" error

Whenever I try to make a change to an item in my Outlook calendar, I get an
error message that says "Two occurences of [insert subject line] cannot occur
on the same day!" I am not trying to create two occurences of the same
appointment, I am trying to make a change to an existing appointment. Has
anyone else seen this?

I use Windows XP, Outlook 2003, SP2.

Thank you!
