I would like to share an Outlook calendar over the web, but have it so that
users can only view appointments - they cannot create or edit them. Also, i would like the calendar to automatically update (as though they have a "subscripton" to the calendar). I have tried to accomplish this using a WebDAV server, but it is not read only, and dosen't seem to be updating. Thanks |

So far on the one's i've tried it on they are all Outlook 2007 - Will that be
necessary? There may be some users that have earlier versions of Outlook. I have explicitly set Deny Write permissions to the IUSR_COMPUTER account on the folder. Is it correct that to share it, a user simply has to browse to the website and click on the ICS file that is listed? Or is there something else? thanks for your reply "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: everyone uses outlook 2007? the calendar should be read only unless the others have read-wrote permission to the webdav folder. it will only update hourly - so give it time. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "MATT" wrote in message ... I think 2003 can view it but I don't think it will update on 2003.
