Default How do I show 'expired days' in Outlook

Is there a way of automatically marking 'days expired' in Outlook, much as
one would cross off a day in a normal calendar the morning after the day, to
make it easier to home in on the day, especially when in Month view.

No, just use the Today button to get to today.

Call me perverse, BUT, I do like tradition. I do this by going to the first
day in my calendar and booking an appointment, then extending that
appointment, each day, up to yesterday, colour red or similar.

Okay - you're perverse. eg

I simply don't understand the compulsion to mark up calendars - never have,
never will. It has never been a tradition with which I am familiar.
