Default Outlook Calendar Reminder "Due In" question

In Outlook versions 2K, XP and 2003, I set a calendar appointment and request
a 3 day reminder. The reminder does appear on-time and does note that the
appointment is due in 3 days. However, after a minute passes, it
automatically changes to 2 days.

Discovered that this may be due to a countdown and the reminder rounds down
to the nearest day. So after a minute passes, Outlook really should state "2
days, 23 hours, 59 minutes" for "due in" instead of "2 days".

Any way this can be changed?
