Default MS Outlook 2002 SP3

i have MS Outlook 2002 SP3 and i cannot get it to keep events birthdays....
and i have no 'holidays' even after downloading ms downloads, questionable
which ones... even though when i update the 'holidays' it says they are
already loaded ??? i am lost and will appreciate amy help ....
