Default Changing Outlook calendar views

I want to see my calendar one day at a time--the view that lets you set and
see appointments in half-hour segments. When I pull up my calendar, I get a
months-long, itemized summary of appointments. Clicking on one gets to me
notes associated with that appointment. When I select "View" from the main
toolbar, I get the following options:

Arrange By
Auto Preview
Reading Pane
Navigation Pane
Reminders Window
Toolbars
Status Bar

None of these seems to lead where I want to go. Help?

Make sure your standard toolbar is active/visible. It has buttons for 1, 5,
7 and 31 day views. I think clicking on the 1 Day button will get you what
you want. To activate toolbar, right click in toolbar area and select
Standard if there is no check next to it already, or choose Reset if it is
visible and does not have these options.
