Default multiple entries of the same event on calendar

I am getting double, triple and sometimes quadruple entries of the same
calendar event. All multiple entries are on dates that have already passed.
the last multiple entry I have is 02/24/06. This includes holiday dates that
Outlook already has in the calendar. (3 entries that it's Valentine's day)
Anyone have a clue to why this is happening?
NOTE: This calendar is synced with a palmpilot.

It sounds very familiar, you're one of many.
I'm currently searching the web for a solution.
All users with this problem use some sort of PDA (Palm or PPC) and sync with
Outlook using one or two desktop computers. Usually the problem occurs on all
events, not just in the past.
As far as I can see it happens when you sync your pocket outlook (agenda and
contacts / birthday entries) and your desktop outlook, but in a different
language (e.g. desktop dutch and english PDA). Events like Birthdays end up
double. I recently migrated to a dutch desktop at home then the trouble
started. My work desktop is english and my PDA is english.

There are some contact and event scrubbers that find and remove duplicats.
The only permanent solution would be to 1) ignore the double entries2) , use
only one language all machines (desktop and PDA) or 3) delete all birthday
entries in the contacts. The problem persists, so cleaning up your contacts
only helps until you sync again.
