I can't believe I did not reply to this. Yes I can export them in vCalendar, HTML or Tab delimited. Is one better than the others?

Will the export and then import recognize categories?

Thanks, thought if I renamed to the old folder name the problem would recur. I do backup weekly for just the reason you mention.

I did that and it works, but is that the only way to fix these problems? At some point I may need to go back to an old folder name, if it happens too much.

I have no other identities to try though I could create one, that just seems more trouble though.

None of the other folders at the same level expand like the one in question.
