Default autoexec or startup with Outlook

I am writing a VBA module to add a menu item and do some basic work behind
the scenes in Outlook.

I would like to put this together in a setup.exe type program for delivery
to my clients ... can this be done ?

Also, I am having a devil of a time getting a startup or autoexec type
function to add the menu item when Outlook starts ...

Is this even possible?

Wherever I add code (even in application.statup) it is ignored ???

many thanks all,

jON

Distributing VBA code is not a good idea and not very robust. The best
practice is to use a COM addin and then you can add your UI in the
OnStartupComplete or OnConnection event handlers.

I'd review the information at http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=28
to see what your options are for VBA code. For COM addin information start
at http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?ID=36
