I'm running Outlook 2003 with SP2 installed.
In my division, I have my own personal email account, but also am tasked with managing 2 additional mailboxes. If I go into Tools--E-mail Accounts and view my existing email accounts, I can see that there is one entry for Microsoft Exchange Server. If I look at the settings for Microsoft Exchange Server, click on the More Settings button and then look at the Advanced Tab, I see that it is set to open the 2 additional mailboxes that I am tasked with, Security and Calendar. I can access those 2 mailboxes from within Outlook, in addition to my personal mailbox, and if I reply to an email that was sent to either the Security or Calendar mailboxes, it will show in the From field that it came from the Security or Calendar email address respectively. However, I know of no way for me to create a new email message and have it show the From: field as anything but my own personal email address. I now am tasked with sending reminder emails out to numerous individuals who have failed to submit various kinds of documentation...however, these emails need to come from the Security mailbox, not my own personal mailbox. I know that I can simply open an email that is in the security mailbox, choose to reply to it, and then simply replace the To: and Subject: fields with whatever I want to create an email that will show the Security email address in the From: field...but I'm wondering if there isn't either some easier way to do that, or at least some macro I can write that will allow me to get to a new email message with a blank To: field, a custom Subject: field and, most importantly, the Security address showing in the From: field. Any ideas? -Brian Beck |
