Hello
I have developed an Outlook plug-in based on .NET 1.1. I am also using the setup program that was created by Visual studio. The add-in adds two buttons to the standard toolbar and three menu items. Initially I had problems in registering the .NET component as a COM component in some machines (even though the vsdrpCOM is mentioned in the properties for the project output) As per suggestions from different discussions, I removed the project output from the setup program and manually added the assembly file and denoted it as vsdrpCOM in the properties window. Now COM registration is working fine and the plug-in works perfectly in 50% of the machines. In other machines, when I start Outlook nothing happens and no buttons/menus are added. I am totally lost with this problem. I was not able get a similar problem from the groups. Any help is highly appreciated. Yours truly Renjith V. |
