Is it possible to design a form in task, outlook, with an excel table
imbedded, so that when I capture numerical values, it will calculate automatically? |

That would require using the spreadsheet control, which isn't included with Office 2007. I don't know whether it even works at all if only Office 2007 is installed and you get the downloadable version. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/spreadsheetcontrol.htm
