Hi all - my manager has his Outlook contacts set to be viewed/sorted with
"File As" field. My question is can categories be seen on the Blacberry the way he sees/sorts the contacts as the File As field? Hope I haven't confused anyone - let me know if I have. Thanks & take care, Anna Marie |

Yes, I am confused.
![]() example, I applied the BB category to the contacts I want/need on the BB and set it to filter out all the others. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Exchange server do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=33803 "Anna" wrote in message ... My manager uses the field File As differently then I have seen others, for
example. I use the field to view every one in my contacts as Last name, First name. My manager will ask me to file a contact as in that field as "Salesperson - Company Name". So he ends up having all these different combinations and its a little confusing. I suggested instead of using the File As field, maybe I could create a category named Salesperson but before I do that he wants to make sure he will be able to see them grouped that way on the BB. "grouped" is not how the blackberry does it - there is a Filter option on
the blackberry menu and you select the categories you want to see. If he selects more than one category, the contacts won't be grouped by category, just sorted by name. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Poll: What version of Exchange server do you use? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=33803 "Anna" wrote in message ...
