Default Migrating PST files

I have backup calendar PST files originally created with MS Office XP
professional at my work location. I have copied these files to my home
computer which has Outlook 2002 installed. I cannot open these PST files on
my home computer, I receive a message stating these files are not compatible
with this version of Outlook. What can I do to allow these PST files to be
readable on my existing Outlook software?

#1 - Outlook XP & Outlook 2002 are one in the same (Outlook 2002 is the
version included with Office 'XP)
#2 - In short - error indicates that the PST you are attempting to open was
created by a later version of Outlook then what you currently have on your
system - so first reaction is that the files you are attempting to open were
created with Outlook '2003 or later and attempted to be opened by Outlook
'2002/XP or earlier. (Outlook '2003/2007 will open any PST file from prior
versions)

(above assumes that the PST files are not corrupt and in turn causing the
error - not very likely to be the case given the message encountered but
remotely possible)

Fix your pst to the right version. You can try a tool called Advanced
Outlook Repair. You can download a free demo version at
http://www.datanumen.com/aor/aor.exe . I think it is a useful repair
tool for you. It is easy to recover your PST file by using its wizard.
It is a powerful tool to recover messages, folders and other objects
from corrupt or damaged Microsoft Outlook PST files.

Detailed information about Advanced Outlook Repair can be found at
http://www.datanumen.com/aor/
