Default Duplicate Distribution Lists

Hello,

We have enable duplicate checking on contacts, and by doing so a user is
promted when he/she tries to add a contact that already exists in his/her
contacts. This feature doesnt seem to make its way to Distribution lists.
Users are able to create multiple distribution lists of the same name. Is
there any way to enable duplicate checking for distribution lists?

Thank you.

Outlook has no problems with duplicately-named DLs.

Default Duplicate Distribution Lists

Brian,

Thank you for this reply. I understand it is possible to make the duplicate
named lists, my question is this:

Can outlook check against my existing DL and warn me if I am tring to create
one with the same name? currently I receive no warning.

Thanks again.

Alain.

I wasn't clear. Outlook doesn't care if you have duplicate DLs. I don't
believe there is anything you can do to have it warn you.
