Default Mark message for Follow up duplicated in To-Do Bar

When I mark a message with a follow up flag in Outlook 2007 SP1 MSO, and
then move the item into a folder (this is using an IMAP connection to an
external mail provider), I end up getting x number of items in the task list
(x being the number of folders into which the message is placed [including
inbox]).... is there a way to make only one item per mail message appear?

TIA

the folders are in Outlook? No, you can't stop it. flag it after you move
copies (not that making several copies in different folders is a good idea).
