I add about 30 or 40 contacts to my address book each day and each has a
customer number. At the moment I use the Business Phone to put the number in
(dont need that one anyway) but when I do a search on that number it doesn't
come up.

What I want is a new box in contacts for the customer number or to use the
Nickname. But to input the nickname I would have to change tabs. Putting
these contacts in take time and changing tabs all the time would add more
time and not be what I want.

How are you searching? Advanced Find should have no problem. It can search
in any or all of the phone number fields.

Why not just put it in the notes field? It's searchable by normal find,
doesn't require changing tabs and is easily visible.
