I have looked everywhere and I'm either blind or Microsoft doesn't have this
in their help. How do I delete a distribution list? I understand how to delete contacts, but I want to delete the entire list? Thanks a bunch. |

Go to your Contacts folder, find the distribution list and delete it from
there. That should work for the last few versions of Outlook but just to check, what version of Outlook are you using? "Jonni" wrote in message ... I'm on Office Professional 2007 and using the "regular" Contacts, not the
Business Contact Manager. The distribution list name doesn't appear in the Contacts list with my other contact folders, nor does it appear in the Address Book. I've wasted lots of time today trying to figure this out. The distribution list exists because when I can type that name in the To line on an email. Thanks for your help! You are confusing the autocompletion cache with your Contacts. They are not
related. You have already deleted the Distribution List. You have not deleted the entry from your autocompletion cache. To do so, use the arrow key to select it and hit your Delete key. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jonni" wrote in message ... Vince is correct unless you're referring to a distribution list in the Global Address List (provided by an Exchange server). -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
