Default Export contacts

I use MS Outlook 2003 (11.8217.8221) SP3 part of MS Office professional
edition 2003.
I would like to export my contacts in my email application to an excel file
or any outlook file type so that to use with other PCs or Window mobile
phone..
My requirement is as follows:
Having selected New email and in the “To” field upon typing a character
(e.g. “a”) all my names starting with an A will be listed. I would like to
export all these names (from A-Z & 0-1) so I can back them up.
Kindly can you advise.
