Building Category from Distribution List
I moved to Outlook 2007 from OE and have all my mailing lists set up as
distribution lists. Is there a way to do a 'selection' of an entire dl and code it as a category instead of having to do the names individually. I have tried it just by selecting the group, then clicking the category I want from the drop-down box, but it didn't work. Any help would be great! -- Sandra |
Building Category from Distribution List
Categories can only be assigned to Contact items, not DL members. Most
people create their DL's from their Contacts, so assigning a category to those Contacts would be easy. If you did not, then you would first need to create Contacts from your DL members so you can assign Categories to them. Saving the DL as a CSV file and importing that file would be an easy way to do that. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "SB Mull" wrote in message ...
