How do i index my contacts in Outlook?

I have imported a new group of contacts into Outlook. After importing them
into Outlook, i tried using the search key to locate individuals, however a
message appears saying that items are still indexing.
After following the Outlook directions to reset the indexes, through the
control panel,
I still am having the index message pop-up.
Can anyone tell me how to oslve this please??

How long have you given Instant Search to complete?
It may take a while, especially if those Contacts are corrupt, which they
may well be since you imported them. Why would you import Contacts?
