1. In an earlier thread posted here, a client asked how to send an email to a
category. Milly Staples advised: "Display your contacts by category view, drag the category to the inbox." When I select my "Contacts" folder (viewed by category) in the Navigation Pane, I can no longer see my inbox and so don't know how to drag a category to the inbox. There must be a way to display the inbox folder AND the categories at the same time, but I can't figure out how. Ideas? 2. I have noticed in several other discussion threads that the use of categories can have advantages over distribution lists. Is there some place one can read about the advantages? Thanks -- William |

Try using the Folder List view in the Navigation Pane and the
interoperability of Outlook is SO much more obvious. You can drag and drop almost anything anywhere. For example, drag an email from the Inbox to Contacts and a New Contact forms with the email data placed perfectly. ![]() Even better: Drag the mail with the right mouse button to the contacts and select "Copy with text". A contact opens with the e-mail address - and from the mail's text in the contact's note field you can now drag e.g. all the data from a signature to the proper contact fields. -- Best regards Michael Bauer - MVP Outlook Synchronize Outlook Categories: http://www.vboffice.net/product.html?id=2006063&cmd=detail&lang=en&pub=6 Am Tue, 8 Jan 2008 08:04:52 +1100 schrieb Judy Gleeson (MVP Outlook): Try using the Folder List view in the Navigation Pane and the interoperability of Outlook is SO much more obvious.
