I know this is an old post but I'm having the same issue today with Outlook
2003. I checked out the utility posted by someone, but it seems that the utility requires a Microsoft Exchange Server (which I don't have) and may be geared for large corporate environments---I'm just a single user. Are there any known utilites for exporting the MAILING addresses from Outlook to Excel? The Mapping feature in Outlook shows Home address, business address and Other address, but does not allow one to chose the one that is the actual Mailing address for contacts that have multiple addresses. Please help! "desperate david" wrote: I have approx 1800 names & addresses in my Contacts. Most of these have more than one address. When displayed I have an option of ticking the Mailing Address. This is fine when doing a mail merge for a mailing. I am about to use a new company for mailing. They need my Mailing List in an Excel format. I know how to export to an Excel doc' but is does not let me chose the mailing address. this means that I will have to sift through 1800 address deleting as necessary. Does any kind soul know of a way round this? pretty please. |

Can you describe the OUTCOME you want rather than the method that you think
won't work. Then we can explain ways to go about achieveing what you want. Hi Judy---I think the original poster stated the desired outcome clearly, and
I have the same desired outcome. I.e. we want to export MAILING addresses from Outlook Contacts to Excel. I know how to export addresses, BUT most of my contacts have more than one address and I need to export the one that I have checked off indicating that it's the mailing address. Sometimes it's a home address, sometimes it's a business address and sometimes it something else (Other). But it is different for every contact. Someone just posted a utility and I am going to try that and report back. Thanks fo ryour response! I still ask WHY? What outcome are you aiming to get by sending it to Excel.
There may be ways to get what you want without sending it to Excel. I am uploading my mailing list to an online printer and they require the list
in csv or xls. "Judy Gleeson (MVP Outlook)" wrote: I still ask WHY? What outcome are you aiming to get by sending it to Excel. There may be ways to get what you want without sending it to Excel. A simple free utility that will do what you're looking for is available
he http://www.codetwo.com/pages/freewar...ook_export.php Just pick the mailing address fields and save them to a CSV file (which you just need to open in Excel). Karl PS - If you need anything beyond the above - you're always welcome to check out our options which also handle the mailing address along with being able to split the street address into separate lines if required :-). __________________________________________________ _ Karl Timmermans - The Claxton Group ContactGenie - Importer 1.3 / DataPorter 2.0 / Exporter "Power contact importers/exporters for MS Outlook '2000/2007" http://www.contactgenie.com "needs help badly!" wrote in message ...
