When I try to import a named file from excel into outlook it appears to go
fine until the little folders stop flying, then I get the error message that outlookk failed and will restart, notify MS about the error. I also tried doing it as a csv file and ended with another, different error I'm on XP2 and Office 2003 with all the latest updates. My named range is Contacts, and I have labeled the 2 columns Name and Business Address to match the Outlook contact structure. Any suggestions? Thanks Jerry |

Have you tried exporting from Outlook to an XLS then fill that XLS with data
for importing? "Jerryi" wrote in message ... Thanks for the suggestion Vince, I hadn't tried that but just did. I
exported my Contact file to excel, cut and pasted about 20 names into it from the list I want to add, saved the file with a new name, and quit excel. I went back to outlook and did the import process, which looked like it was working fine. It ended without any errors but when I look into the folder it was supposed to go in all I see is a grid of grayed rectangles in columns, like an empty table. No data there at all. What do you suggest I try next? Thanks "Vince Averello [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Have you tried exporting from Outlook to an XLS then fill that XLS with data for importing? "Jerryi" wrote in message ...
