Default outlook contacts

sorry if this has been already asked, i did have a look prior to posting.

i'm a little confused with the addressing system in outlook. i have outlook contacts, when typing an email the name will appear [so i'm gathering it retrieves the info from contacts] along with their image [if set]. however my question is that some addresses appear in the TO:field when typing however i want to expand/add information to that email address but can't locate it in outlook contacts

make sense? hope so

Didn't make much sense to me I'm afraid, but I think you are wanting to add
this extra info to the "Display as:" field in your contact list. I am too
poor to have 2007, but that's what you do in 2003.

Otherwise it might be that you are talking about an auto fill function.
When you start to type an email address that you have typed before it will
offer that up for selection to avoid you having to complete typing it. This
however is not stored in your Contacts section

Hope that helps, if not let me know.

Autocompletion has nothing to do with your Contacts. It uses a completely
separate cache of names of previous recipients.

You're being confised by the Autocompletion feature. See this:
