Default scrolling PABlocks up Outlook 2000 and then shuts down

On my new Win XP pro computer, I have installed Outlook 2000. When I want to
send an email and access my PAB, my Outlook 2000 pro shuts down on its own. I
tried deleting Office and reinstalling. I tried deleting PAB and reinstalling
the service. I have tried detect and repair. Nothing works and nothing from
internet search makes any difference. Help!

Any particular reason you're using the PAB as opposed to just using the
Outlook Address Book?

Default scrolling PABlocks up Outlook 2000 and then shuts down

I have a similar problem to resolve for a user - Windows XP/Outlook 2000.
When trying to select recipients from her Contacts - as opposed to the GAL -
she gets kicked right out of Outlook. Without the usual 'Outlook is shutting
down' message. Check her Contacts and cannot find any duplicates entries and
she has no Distribtion list set up.
Tried Outlook Repair function and applied SP 3 - but no luck.
She is also seeing the "ABCDE" etc on the right hand side of the display in
cycillic text when contacts viewed from the Contacts Short cut on the Outlook
desktop.
I was going to try a complete re-install of Office 2000.
Any ideas?
