The situation: I have 5 contacts of people working for the same company. Is
there a filter I can use or create for example: "Only list first contact in
company"?
It can't be specific as this needs to be applied across my whole address
book which contains many people from same companies.

Outlook CRM (an add-on) does that sort of thing by using companies as the
prime contact. Outlook is focussed on each Contact being important.
Microsoft CRM is also worth having a look at for that type of behaviour.
There's also Prophet and many other CRM packages for Outlook.
