Default Contacts: Parameter values not valid?

It has been a long time since I used this program to add a contact, but it
did work before. I am trying to add a new contact to my outlook address
book. After I enter in the name and email address of an individual, click on
"Save and Close" I get the following error message:
"Could not complete operation. One or more parameter values are not
valid."
What am I doing that is wrong?
