I am having problems similar to an old posting that doesn't seem to
have been resolved. Contacts not showing up in To: field http://groups.google.com/group/micro...7eb2c7cd1a4367 In Outlook 2002 the contacts list will show up after pressing 'to' in a new message. However none of the entries show up. The GAL contacts work fine. We even made a new 'contacts1' folder and put a few contacts in and they would show up in the 'to' address book. However once I imported a ..pst of the backup of the original contacts list none of the entries in the new 'contacts1' list show up in the 'to' address book anymore. My theory is that there may be a corrupted entry or just too many contacts 1000+. Would appreciate any ideas, -Sean |

Simply means you are not adding these Contacts to the same folder you are
displaying in the Outlook Address Book. Check your settings. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] wrote in message ups.com... It seems to be more comlicated than that. I've checked all the
settings. The contacts are present when looking from the outlook folder tree. The contacts are present in the TO address book when only 12 or so were added manually. However When the 1000 + contacts were imported neither the 12 origal nor the 1000's more show up in the contacts1 directory in the TO address book. Could there be a corrupted entry or just too many contacts? "12 or so were added manually" means what exactly? That conveys no
information. You are not describing a known issue, nor is there a limit to the number of Outlook Contacts the Address Book service can display. Importing is never the correct way to transfer Outlook data. I suspect end user error here. Tell us what you did, clearly. Spare no detail if you expect help from a distance. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] wrote in message oups.com... It seems to be more comlicated than that. I've checked all the settings.
