Default Missing but not missing Contacts

Hello I am sure that this issue that I have has been answered many times
before but I am stuck.

My boss recently reached the 2GB limit in outlook 2000 and I had to use the
Mail Box Repair tool to get access. It worked and so after that I upgraded
him to 2003. No problems! Everything seemed to work well. Except contacts.
When you type anew message the auto complete comes up and you can pick from
any of his old addresses. But when you open the contacts there is noting in
there. I configured the properties of contacts to to show as an address book.
I have added another address book but nothing works to get the contacts into
contacts...

PLEASE HELP!!!!

What do you mean by "open the contacts"?

What contacts folders do you see listed in the Contacts navigation pane?

DId you look in your Folder List to see if Outlook has some odd folders recovered from the repair? Your boss is aware, I hope, that the repair process always loses some data.

Yes it is the navagation pane. And no there are no odd folders in the list.
Yes he aware that somethings will be lost but is it not strange all the
addresses that he has are still in the auto complete but will not show in the
contacts book?

No, that's not strange at all. There is no connection between the autocomplete list and any contacts folders.

I'm still waiting for an answer to my question about that folders you see in the Contacts navigation pane that appears when you click the Contacts button.
