Default forwarded contact recieved as winmail.dat

I've tried several ways to send a vcard to a co-worker (drag and drop;
right-click and forward). It arrives in their inbox as a winmail.dat
file instead of .vcf. We're both using Outlook 2003. I know I've been
successful in sending contacts to this person before, and now I can't
figure it out.
