Default SELECT NUMEROUS CONTACTS. ASSIGN TO A NEW CATEGORY AT ONCE?

I want to view contacts by phone list. Then select numerous contacts. Is
there a one-stroke way to assign them all to a new Category I have created?

Or must I do them one byone?
