Default Wrong Names in Distribution List

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. That's what I was trying to
explain. A DL is not a file you can attach to a message. It is a proprietary
Outlook Item that loses key properties when it is moved from its Contacts
Folder. As such, the only way you can transfer it to another Outlook user is
to use the method I posted.

Hi Russ,

You can put a distribution list into an email by dragging it. Open
Contacts and drag the DL into the body of the new message, it will show
as an attachment. Do you have any ideas about my question, why is the
DL different in a message than it is in my Contacts, when I expand the
list in the 'To' field; 3 names are missing and 2 new ones appear?

Milly,
Please hold UCB in high regard again, won't you? I'm sorry, Russ just
reminds me of the soup nazi from Seinfeld.

I always liked the soup nazi by the way. If you saw me at work you'd see I'm
usually about as busy as he was so my posts are short, to the point, and do
not mince words. They will, I suspect, appear rude to those who are not
familiar with Usenet or realize that we are volunteers who do this on very
little free time.

My apologies, I see now. It just seemed like the user questions were
annoying you, hence the wrong career comment.

Thanks again, for the better way to bring in DL's.

Hi Russ,

Just chipping in with my 2 cents worth. I mostly lurk here, and have done
so for years. I very rarely need to post a question because of the superb
work you and the other MVPs do in these groups. Just want you to know
that I greatly appreciate all the help your efforts to help so many
people have been to me personally. Please, keep up the good work - you
and the other MVPs are worth your weight in gold, and we appreciate your
efforts.

Regards, Peter.
