Default accessing contacts on older version

On installation of Beta edition, one would think that I would have my
contacts moved to newer version. Since that isn't the case, how do I do this?

One would think no such thing.
One would wonder why you would even ask such a question.
One would wonder how you migrated your data to an unsupported version and
whether your method complied with the well documented methods that apply to
supported versions.
One would wonder why you left out all this information.
Please tell us.

I have the same question. i downloaded the Beta version and my calendar nor
my contacts forwarded over to the new version. I was going to just sync my
contacts/calendar via my Blackberry to resolve the issue. HOWEVER, during
the sync I see the items must be somewhere on my computer and I just don't
know where I would find them on my computer.

So do you think you really ought to be using a BETA software if you either
don't know or don't know how to find out, that pretty basic information?

In place upgrades of Outlook are never recommended, especially for a beta.
Beta's have never supported an upgrade path, and even released versions of
Outlook do not handle upgrade installations competently.
Always install Outlook clean.
Always create a new Outlook profile from scratch after you do and use a
supported method for migrating your old data to the new profile.

How did you sync with the blackberry? Desktop manager does not work with the
beta.
