Default fixing an old bad habit...

I moved a computer from my office to my house. At the office we were using
Microsoft Exchange Server, but at home obviously not. Outlook opens, looks
for the exchange server, has a hissy, and then shuts down when it can't find
it. How do I delete the ini/startup file so that it will just do a new
install and forget all the bad habits learned at the office? HELP!

Use the Mail Applet in the control Panel to create a new Profile configured
for the right type of connection eg pop, imap etc

Do you need to keep any of the data you were using before? If so, then open
Outlook and tell it to not connect so that it works offline (i.e., cancel the
connection to Exchange). Then if you were using Outlook in Cached Exchange
mode, you'll be able to create a new PST and copy the folders in the Exchange
cache to that PST. You can then set that PST up as your delivery location and
remove the Exchange account from the mail profile.
