Default Email password clears when domain password changes

Every time my domain password expires, my email password is cleared and I
have to re-enter it. This seems to be happenning only in Office 2003 only.
Does anyone know of way to prevent this?

Here is a description of my environment:
Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP3
Microsoft Office 2003 SP3
RedHat Linux 5.3 Domain Server
