Default How to re-set default paragraph spacing from auto to 0 point?

My default email "new message" is stuck on double spacing each line. I can
right click on the body of the form and click paragraph, then change spacing
from auto to 0 point and it goes back to single spacing. However I have to do
this exercise on every new message. How can I make single spacing the default?
