Hello --
Is there a benefit to the download versus the disc version of Outlook 2007, or for Office 2007 in general? I'm specifically interested in those less than obvious reasons (i.e. can get the download right away). For example, when I bought XP Office Pro several years ago, it was important to buy the disc version because periodically, you'd need it when trying to fix a program (i.e. using "Detect and Repair" in Outlook 2002). Ideally, I'd like to just buy the download version, but I don't want to be disappointed later if I found out I would need the disc. (Hoping MS perfected this process so there's no difference at all). Thanks! |

If you buy an Office suite and burn it to CD, there is no difference.
Outlook standalone lacks some features - the download version many not support import/export, depending on where you get it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
