When trying to open Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, this occurs:
(Red X Message) Microsoft Office Outlook Connector ‘The network connection has been interrupted. Please try again later.’ When I click OK, this message appears. Red X Message) Microsoft Office Outlook Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The file c:\Documents and Settings\Leon\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\leonking47_msn4.ost is not an offline folder file. When I click OK, the program page disappears. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall a couple of times. Same thing. The firewall is clear for the program. Can anyone help me with a suggestion? Thanks. Leon King |

Are you actually on an Exchange account?
If not it would appear you have incorrectly configured the Outlook setup, Use the mail applet in the control panel to remove the exchange account & correctly configure your type of connection. Or Create a new Profile using the correct type of settings. Uninstalling/Reinstalling OL rarely cures any problems. "Leon King" wrote in message ... As he mentioned, he's using the outlook connector - it creates an ost named
for the user account. I'd remove the account and reconfigure it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. I am using outlook connector. I have tried to connect, and reconnect it I
have tried to remove, and reinstall. I have tried to make sure that there are exceptions in my firewall (Zone AlarmPro) I am still recieving the same message that this user was. I was getting my mail through this before about three weeks ago and then it just suddenly stopped. Someone told me I needed the updated version but that didnt make a difference. I need help. Thanks "Diane Poremsky {MVP}" wrote: As he mentioned, he's using the outlook connector - it creates an ost named for the user account. ![]() Check if this same account allows you to log in in messenger or hotmail. If there is any pending "accept license terms", the outlook connector won't be able to sign in properly. Logging in into messenger ot hotmail should prompt you about any license to be accepted and solve the problem at the next outlook restart. We have solved a problem similar to the one described in the first post this way, for an account created few hours before using the domains.live.com site. |

The following worked for me:
- Remove the account you've configured to work with Outlook Connector - Add the account again, by going to Tools -- Account Settings - Under the Email tab, select "New", but leave the default radio button checked i.e. Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP. DON'T select Microsoft Outlook Connector. - Click on 'Next' and enter the details of your account. - Hit 'Next' again, and Outlook will automatically search for your POP3 account. A pop-up will appear saying there is a problem with the 'autodiscover.hotmail.com' security certificate. Say 'Yes' to proceeding. - You will then be told that your account has privileges to work with Connector and asked if you want to migrate to it. Select 'Transfer'. You then need to restart Outlook. That should be it, I haven't had any problems since.
