Installing outlook 2007 only, not suite
Can I install Outlook 2007 and not uninstall 2003 Microsoft Office Suite. It
was installed by the company I used to work for and when I open outlook it looks for exchange server and won't open, but I can still use all the other components. Before I open the software I bought, Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 can I install it and still use the other operable components of 2003? |

You merely need to use the Mail Applet in the Control Panel to remove the
Exchange Account & then correctly configure your new account. Theres no need to install 2007 PS In leaving your old company did they give you the Licence for Office? Do you have any means of reinstalling 2003 should that be required? "pjsanty" wrote in message ... Can I install Outlook 2007 and not uninstall 2003 Microsoft Office Suite. Thank you for your reply. No I don't have the license or original CD's just
the suite they left on my home computer that they so kindly installed. That was about 3 years prior to leaving the company to compete. They probabaly wouldn't be interested in sharing that information with me. I will try to use the mail applet and see if that works. I'm not a licensing expert, but I dare say the copy you have is now illegal. You lost the right to use it when you left the company who holds license. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

If anything ever goes wrong with your PC or Office you will probably 'lose'
office 2003 unless you can locate an Office 2003 cd of the 'same version' At this point you might want to Image your system to external media and locate the Office 2003 key MagicJelly Bean or Belarc Advisor should help with the latter.
