Hi.
Its Microsoft outlook version 2003 Its a POP/SMTP account The error msg that comes up when I test the it “ Send test e-mail message: the specified server was not found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct. To access these setting close this dialog, then click More Settings and click on the Advanced tab” All the other tests are fine but I don’t understand why it doesn’t send, is the incoming mail server and outgoing mail server suppose to have the same IP address? They certainly can have the same IP address, but they don't necessarily have the same address. Many services use the same server for both POP and SMTP, but many do not, either. Have you called your ISP support staff? Have you viewed their setup web pages? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
