Default best way to configure outlook while on the road

I have many mobile users. When they are in the office with their laptops
they get their email from the exchange server. what is the best way to
configure Outlook to get email while they are on the road. I would prefer to
use the Outlook client on their maching as opposed to OWA. We have Exchange
2003 and Oulook 2003.

Thanks for your help,
Brian

VPN or RPC over HTTP, would be my choices.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to try the RPC over HTTP. I've never
configured it, but it doesn't look too hard.
