Default Outlook backup files

I use Outlook 2003 on a Vista machine. Recently I saved my contacts to a USB
jump drive. Now when I open Outlook, I get a message about the j:/backup is
not available. I have changed the backup to the hard drive but still get the
message. How can I change the backup location to match what the computer
expects? Would this error in the configuration cause duplicate messages to
be sent? Thanks
