can send gmail in outlook but cannot receive gmail, what's the pr.

I have configued outlook 2003 to send/received gmail. However I can only
send email but cannot receive my gmail from gmail POP3 server. I have
configured all the settings (including the "advance" setting) as recommended
in Gmail website. What is the problem and how can I solve it?

Did you read your gmail on line before trying to download it with Outlook?
If so, gmail won't allow the download. It doesn't work like a true POP
server. It remembers what you've read online and won't tell the POP client
that it's available.
