Default I can't send or recieve! error: object not found. Help!

I have configured Outlook and the tests show that all is well. But, I can't
send/recieve. I consistently get the error message that the "object is not
found." OE works just fine, but I want Office Outlook 2003 as my default.
Can you help me? I have not been able to find any answers on any help and
support sites.
