Our Exchange servers recently changed names and I've been trying to tweak our
Office 2003 installation to auto configure the Exchange e-mail when Outlook is run for the first time. I use the CIW and have a MST file that has all the settings for the new server, but I find that unless I edit the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\custom11.prf and put in the new Exchange servers, Outlook won't automatically configure the Exchange e-mail. How does C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\custom11.prf end up there? As a work-around, I had to write a batch file script to copy the new custom11.prf (with the new Exchange server name), then run the Office 2003 setup. If anyone can shed some more light on the mysterious custom11.prf file, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! |
